Turo Cafe has consistently been my favorite Filipino place. I have tried several places around the Bay Area and so far, this is the best. I have never dined in person, but I have ordered often through Door Dash. We also tried their catering service and our guests were raving about the food! 8oz serving is good for 1, but maybe not a lot if you're hungry. 16oz can last me 2 meals and most of their food freezes well. Some of the food we have tried: Jeprox - crispy and flavorful! Even after 20 minutes of travel. Pairs well with their vinegar and tomato. Kare kare - not too salty, generous with the meat. The meat was very tender! I added more vegetables when it reached our place. It was good even without bagoong! I've tried it as small order and for catering (1 tray) and the taste is very consistent. Pork sinigang - my favorite Filipino food! Get your rice ready, it was sour to my liking! The 8oz is already filling and enough for 1 person Chopsuey with Tofu - this was a special request for catering, the guests loved it and the vegetables were cooked well (not soggy). Tofu was crunchy on the outside, soft inside. Bicol express - I expected it to be spicy, good thing it wasn't! It was very creamy, you can taste the bagoong in it. There was a lot of pork fat (good if you like the soft fatty meat!), had to look for the meat. Laing - perfect!!! It was very creamy and tasty. Good to pair with garlic rice. Lumpiang shanghai - good size and serving, crispy! I ordered the a tray and everyone loved it My least favorite so far is the chicken sisig, it was bland and a bit hard to chew. We will try pork sisig to compare it next time

Flavor-forward, Filipino box lunch / takeaway. The friendly, American-born pinoy staff greet with a smile upon entering — an unexpected (but most welcome) change when normally accustomed to seeing an auntie behind the counter. Beef Kaldereta, a highlight — savory beef stew with a creamy finish from liver paste in sauce. Chicken Adobo, on-point with soy sauce-to-vinegar proportion (slightly more salty than sour). Pancit, impressively packed with vegetables and protein — a relief from the normal carb-only option (with a few slivers of carrot and cabbage) often encountered elsewhere. Dishes are clearly made with pride and high-quality in mind. An excellent option when exploring Filipino food (complete with explanations from the very helpful staff).

I had my first experience here today shortly after they opened, and I was instantly met with a friendly face behind the counter. Her name is Clarissa! She advised me on all the food options, and sold me on a plate off the BEST fish, moist chicken, and “hawaii shrimp truck like” garlic rice I’ve ever had, and I used to live in Hawaii. It was so good, that after my class at CCSF I walked out of my way back here for Pancit and more chicken… and they were not only happy to see me again, but sold me on another dish that was even better! Best little spot for Philippino food I’ve ever been too!! Give it a try and say hi to Clarissa! Thanks for listening. -Chris

The younger Filipino guy with the line up hooked me up so good. I genuinely appreciate him for letting me try samples of things just to see what I like. He eventually let me try so many things that I got full just standing there. Oh man I wish I could do more to show my gratitude towards this fine establishment but here is a honest very genuine review for such an awesome delicious restaurant. God bless them.

Are there any Filipino food lovers here???I used to love going to Lucky Chances Casino in Daly City. No,not to gamble. Although I do believe I was born with "gambling in my blood"! I'd go there for the food at the Cafe and usually order the Sinigang. It's a soup that is sour and salty and has strong flavors of vinegar. It's my favorite Filipino dish and I love it even more than Shanghai lumpias! One of my favorite places for Filipino food is Turo Cafe and Grill. No frills place that makes homemade Filipino dishes. They have your usual standbys like pancit noodles, pork and chicken skewers, and lumpias. They also freshly make other items like sisig or kaldereta and many more items.. You can also get 1 or 2 item plates that comes with a choice of pancit or rice or both. I recommend you try their sinigang, you might become a believer!

My Filipino coworker invited me to Turo Cafe and Grill and I absolutely enjoyed the variety of meats, stews, and rice dishes. My favorites were the baby lumpias (egg rolls), the Turo (Jackfruit roll), the traditional Chicken Adobo with rice. Since we were dining for lunch we were not able to order the other great looking dishes. The one thing I appreciated while inquiring about the food was the offer from the server to sample items. The dining room was also clean and tidy.

We chose Turo Cafe to cater our Sunday Wedding Brunch and it was a hit! All of our family and friends loved all the dishes. Their staff worked so closely with us to figure out the perfect menu for all of our guests dietary restrictions while also providing our favorite authentic dishes. Half of our family is Filipino and the other half had never had Filipino food before and the chefs at Turo were able to impress everyone, which is not an easy task! Everyone asked us where we got our food and many would love to come back and visit or order for their own event. We highly recommend Turo for any large party catering. Soooo masarap! :)

I'm so glad I went here this is the best Filipino food I've had in the city. This place was hella good. The pancit palabok was amazing. I don't think I've ever had palabok at a restaurant and liked it that much, but its bomb here. Bicol express was my favorite thing, not spicy but creamy and flavorful. Kare Kare was also a standout, it was so rich without feeling overly greasy. Chicken adobo is always delicious, but this one was great, chicken was not dried out, moist but fell apart as you ate it, it was a little peppery which I really like. We also got longaniza and lumpia, which are always good. Everything was great.
